thảo luận Practicing English with vOzers :D

We have many ways to learn English, some people play strategery game and chat with another player, some people play the game like Final Fantasy and using the dictionary to understand the conversation on the game (without using direction on the web), and some people using Youtube to listen to some talk on this to training "listen" skills and try to write down whatever I hear from the conversation to training "writing" skills. And many many many another way :), but you must focus on the target and use more time as you can to learn a new language
Did it work?

Anyone here tried to speak English in a one-on-one online class? I'm trying to find the course with a native speaker and practice 15-30 minutes per day. Do you think it works? :adore:
Yeah, it definitely works but only if you are well prepared before class and your partner (say he/she is a native or bilingual speaker) is interested in your intended subject. And it depends on how you approach the class, if you play safe, for example: you start with formal introduction, hobby, ... But after a few classes you'll find it tedious, so it's crucial to expand your topic.

...........................Thoughts..............................
I used to think offline games "teach" english better than those Eng teachers at school or there are more things in english that i can learn from video games.

Years later...i realise that games is what persuade me to learn english in the early days or it is my first motivation to learn English
......................... About the games..................
We got a chance to meet and interact with vitrual characters through dialogues and actions, observe how they speak and react in different situations

another way may give the same experiences is watching interaction movies (example: Bandersnatch )
..........................................................................
I thinking of writing down the whole learning experience but maybe another time.... Just sharing some of my thoughts of how i approach english language
(Sorry...i haven't wrote english paragraph for years)

I think we have the same way to start learning English. I used to play Diablo II, as you may know, that game is totally in English, and I have to "google" to know what is this item function or understand what the quest requires. Gradually, it improves my English vocabulary.
But, it's just a very small part of the world. I find it hard to deal with other topics like economics, history, etc. they use a very long sentence that I can't understand even if I have "google" every word in it. I think one of my problems is vocabulary and how to separate the sentence.
Can you guys give me some advice? Thanks

You guys know why? Because games make you more interested than English teachers do. In that games, you guys can learn English really openly especially passion without grammar, tenses.
