The AMD Ryzen 9 5950X has already shown its overclocking potential with an all-core boost clock of 6.362 GHz. The Vermeer processor has pushed past the 15,000 mark in Cinebench R20 too, albeit at 1.692 V and on LN2 cooling.

The Ryzen 5000 series is here, and the premier representation has already exceeded 6 GHz on Liquid Nitrogen (LN2). The Ryzen 9 5950X has a peak single-core boost clock of 4.9 GHz by default, but professional overclocker HiCookie has pushed the 16 core processor to 6.362 GHz.

Impressively, HiCookie achieved 6.362 GHz across all cores using LN2. Additionally, HiCookie upped the processor's voltage to 1.692 V and paired it with a Gigabyte X570 AORUS Master motherboard. Based on the CPU-Z screenshot below, the Ryzen 9 5950X had a bus speed of 100.19 MHz and, therefore, a multiplier of X63.5.

6.362 GHz at 1.692 V may well be a stable overclock for the Ryzen 9 5950X on LN2, too. According to a Gigabyte Twitter post, the overclocked Vermeer processor scored 15,517 in Cinebench R20, or around 50% more than the Ryzen 9 5950X at stock levels.

Invariably, someone will push the Ryzen 9 5950X further than 6.362 GHz. However, we would be surprised if anyone managed to go beyond the 8.794 GHz that Andre Yang managed with an FX 8350 in 2012.

Andre Yang, a famous overclocker, managed to push an FX 8350 to 8794Mhz. Which is still the highest frequency ever achieved but it was only on two cores out of the eight...

Chứng tỏ đám Zen 3 này vẫn còn room để đẩy xung lên cao hơn nhưng có lẽ AMD chưa muốn làm thế khi mà bg chỉ có nội bộ CPU AMD cạnh tranh với nhau, còn Tèo thì đang chết dí với 14nm+++++++++. Nên không khó hiểu khi Zen 3 đã mạnh hơn Zen 2 thì chớ lại còn mát và ăn ít điện hơn. :haha:
