I’ve started learning Korean recently, the alphabet is really challenging! Is anyone else learning a new language?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my listening skill after I learned a "super-fast Fluency English course for employees."

After I finish all IPA/Grammar/ Shadowing to train my muscle memory mouth, and i'm feeling confident as well. I can read and say it out loud, such as articulation and better than before ever

But when I was trying to do my listening test like TOEIC, IELTS, I can't perceive each word they said like describing the context

However, the voice form podcast AI, or an influencer from YouTube talk about Learning English topic, i feel easier than an exam and I can hear them clearly.

How I can listening better to do my exam? Even though I listen podcast everyday, shadowing and practicing very hard. Once I did the exam, it crash and low score consistently.

Help me guys!

Your grammar is all over the place, mate. Once you're grammatically proficient, it will become much easier to perceive specific contexts in IELTS tests. Preparation for the questions is also an important skill, so jump on that.

To me, when it comes to English, it's not just about how to use it correctly, but also naturally.
One day, I asked my husband Shawn, "Can you take that?" He asked, "To where?" I realized then that I should've said, "Can you get that?" or "bring/hand me that?"
Another time, our baby was crying upstairs while we were downstairs. I told Shawn, "Can you pick him up?" and he joked, "I can't—he’s not on a tree!" That's when I realized I should've said, "Can you go get him?"
Context is extremely important in English communication. When there are subtle differences between words or phrases, context decides which one sounds more appropriate.☕

Exactly! Contexts matter! Hence, the "traditional" way of learning new vocabulary and phrases, by having the Vietnamese meaning right next to an English word, doesn't always translate to a more comprehensive lexical resource. :doubt:

monthly ago i started to learn vocabulary with anki, just 20 words/day, because in the evening i dont have any thing to do

I just found out a website called ejoy that offers dictation tasks with IELTS, TOEIC, and news (BBC, Vietnam Today). But I want to practice dictating with movie scenes. Are there any websites available?
