Mình tạo topic này để mọi ng cùng trao đổi về ý tưởng Part 2 3 cho Speaking và Writing task 2 ạ, Mình sẽ brainstorm thread này liên tục từ giờ đến khi thi(trừ khi hôm nào mình bận làm bài ở lớp)

Chú ý : mình chỉ viết dàn ý, k viết full bài vì rất tốn thời gian

1. Describe a problem you had while shopping online or in a store
You should say:
When it happened
What you bought
What problem you had
And explain how you felt about the experience

As I can remember, I was around .... When ....
As I can still remember vividly, it just happened a few weeks/months ago when

walking along located near my house / located at the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
there were so many different stores selling
strolling around caught my attention.
see what was available

Online shopping: -> surfing the Internet to find -> looking through and comparing the prices and quality ,
different e-commerce websites / platforms, I decided to -> place an order -> popular and credible platforms -> wait for my parcel
In-store: Out of stock -> ask they could order more products - wait for a few weeks -> disappointed -> eager

expensive than I expected -> ask for a bargain -> about 10 minutes -> set a decent price for both parties -> not too cheap , affordable for me

a few small errors found on the product, -> offered a 20% discount for us -> hesitant at first, -> a fair trade

I asked for the manager -> irritated (tức giận, làm phiền lòng hoặc gây khó chịu) -> a bad review on social media about this shop, complaint -> manager had to contact me off the right bat -> offered a voucher as compensation

Wrong product delivery -> returning + re-shipping, their fault -> annoyed + disappointed
quality was not as good as it was advertised -> cannot return and refund

my difficulty at work

I had tried multiple ways to deal -> having said that , getting worse -> I found myself in a very tough spot -> I had to seek advice -> wisest decisions -> see the light at the end of the tunnel -> put my effort -> finanlly solve

It is an important item -> Unluckily, my computer's screen wass blue -> If U are in my shoes, understand why I worried ->
I am not a techie so I ddnt know reason why -> The only thing that I could see at that moment was that X not working
decided to go to Internet => seek solution, many people faced same situation lended me a hand => have a crack to do it => still not work . I didn’t want to mess things up further. head to some fixed shop -> fixed the errors -> It was also very kind of him to even instruct me -> I could handle the problems in same situation

Find assistance ->looked for many apps -> came across elsa
Change behaviors -> start reading foreign books and shadow from conversations in movie, listen to podcasts
Well, probably for this topic, -> improve my skill
lack of contextual -> extremely hard to absorb -> find new friends by Twitter and expats in Sword Lake
lack of new words whenever I want to talk and write -> read more material and dictionary -> make simple sentence -> apply new words into context

extremely helpful -> incentivized me to learn
I hope that -> achieve flying color

In some countries, small town-centre shops are going out of business because people tend to drive to large out-of-town stores. As a result, people without cars have limited access to out-of-town stores, and it may result in an increase in the use of cars. Do you think the disadvantages of this change outweigh its advantages?

Benefit
Outlying/urban stores: rising customer from towns => Stimulate job creation => curb local unemployment rates. However . this line of reasoning is not sound as it fails to factor in town-center stores => a sharp decline in revenues => cripple businesses => losses huge job

Albeit beneficial to a limited few…, is spelling trouble for many others.

Drawbacks:
little choice but to shop in suburban stores => inconvenience => contribute to their lower levels of life satisfaction
surging amount of exhaust fumes => exacerbate air pollution

Describe a time you moved to a new home/school
You should say:

And how you felt about it

As I can remember vividly,
Since it was a long time ago, I don’t really have the full recollection of it. However, as I can vaguely remember/
in Bac Giang, is the poor country but it's quite tranquil
Since the previous place, I was studying in prestigious school, having said that my parents broke, -> the current place, quite bad, classmate not friendly
felt lonely since I read many feedback on the Internet
catch a sense of hostility in the environment.

Describe something you do that can help you concentrate on work/study
You should say:
What it is
How it helps you concentrate

And explain how you feel about it

concentrate = focus = block external distractions
not really good at concentrating => adopt many different methods => And, the one that I use the most is Prodoro

First of all, I have to say that I usually get distracted. example
noise from on-going construction sites in the vicinity my housse => put on headphones => block all noise

addict to social media => can't pay attention enough 5 minutes if not checking my social media => whenever I focus => said my mom use it or lock in a vault

Short attention spa => adopt some methods such as Pika, quite famous in block other tasks

At first, I was not used to … - so the whole thing was quite difficult => didn’t really see any significant improvement => howver, after trying for a while, effective

I would love to recommend this to friends

Describe a contest/competition you would like to participate in
You should say:
What the contest/competition is about
Where it will take place
When it will be held
And explain why you would like to participate in it

introvert person . I’m not a really competitive person. I mean, not engage in any competition => I purely go for fun mostly
So basically, the contest is held Hung, my teacher for my classs => the participant have to answer his question to gain score and surpass others -> to outperform
it will be held in late July , quite hot in Hanoi, but in the day held this competition, it's quite cool with precipitation

happen/occur in ….which is located in the vicinity of Thanh Hoa, which is a famous country => not convinient to comminicate

result :
Normally, I usually talk with notorious student and learn from their behaviours, having said that, in this contest have many chances to talk with many brilliant/awesome students , expand my circle

understand my abilities in a competitive environment => can be motivated to try harder if I were in this contest

Describe a person who solved a problem in a smart way
You should say:
Who this person is
What the problem was
How he/she solved it
And explain why you think he/she did it in a smart way


a classmate => she is Taylor and she is my girlfriend a brilliant students => I and Taylor is a team, my mission : make a toy
the problem : devise a time machine toy => hours and hours of dicussing and finding solution on the Internet ->
find a good remedy to this urgent problem since it stemmed from many different sources.
I think that we come to a dead end
Her solution : a very awesome approach to the problem => look at from conventional view. At first : flawed solution : enough money to buy lego, however, with critical thinking => borrow from others => solution could address all parts => gave a good mark for team
finnally, I think she is the smartest people I have met and always admire him

Describe a café you like to visit

I discovered this lovely place => when caming across

Where it is: located in Daklak, which has many unique coffee places like robusta, energy...
It is a traditional coffee shop that, I usually order herbal cafe, since it boost Prevent weight gain and Keep fit

Enjoy a cup of joe and chit chat with friends. => escape the hustle and bustle of Vietnam to find a tranquil place to unwind and recharge my battery

Besides, I find a nostalgic feeling => remind me about the past how they made coffee when filling bean from coffee trê => charming feature
visit again if I have a chance

Describe a bicycle/motorcycle/car trip you would like to go
You should say:

And explain why you would like to go by bicycle/motorbike/car

an avid traveller, I have a bucket list to engage in many places, such as go to America to face Taylor Swift
I would love to share with this trip I went to Maryland to engage in Taylor show

planning with my felllows => quite expensive and we have to surpass many forest and mountains
have a chance to absorb the atmosphere of these places
many breathtaking destinations such as lush farmlands, crystal clear lakes
want to go in summer because in winter , the road is slippery => cause many damage and accidents
go by pooling - car, I mean I can share the cost with others => have a opportunities to capture a picturesque view

I can have this once-in-a-life-time

Describe a traditional product in your country
You should say:

When you tried this product for the first time

And explain how you feel about it

Traditional product: -> products coming from a traditional handicraft/craft village

U know, in Vietnam , have tons of traditional craft, each of these has its own signature and interesting product not only vietnamese but also Foreigner

I actually had a chace to visit BacNinh, U know, this village is highly recommend by the locals
=> trust me, the whole experience was so cool

I will descirbe Tohe, the ingredient to make is white powder and floor
after several stages of production, firstly, find resource of powder, and use mould to crease a figure -> finanly, decorating with weapons, ornament and coloring

feeling : at first, it's probably nothing special, I was dead wrong since It was beyond my expectation
compared to other things that I have trided => totally unique
Although it quite significant cheap - I'm really proud of that

Describe a positive change that you made in your life

I know I am still not perfect => I usually have to adopt changes => improve it. Talk about a habit....
For example :
-Pulling an allnighter because I have many things to do, sometimes it bited off more than I can chew => result : mental stress, or sleep depriviation and even reduction my productivity

• Never read books, U know it broaden your mind, Your brain and your cognitive abilities started to wane/ decrease significant -> feel my friends are superior or feel interior with friends
• Do not participate in sports and exercises -> physically taxed and have more negative thoughts, aging process quickly and decrease immune system

Not only I but also my friends. My friend, Taylor, she advised me too much and she is my inspiration to change my habits

U know, I have been doing this for 3 months, trust me bro, it's a dramastic change in my life - my life has really made a massive turn
- does wonder for my health, both mentally and physically, I feel better
-> life has so much meaning right now to me => recommend my friends around me

Describe a course you took that impressed you a lot
You should say:
What the course was about

And explain why it impressed you a lot

I will describe an English course with Taylor Swift
I choose this course because I am an avid traveller
- Firstly, Taylor taught me about the foundational about English such as Hello, How are U
U know, English plays an important role in our life not only me but also many students in Vietnam, tend to learn IELTS too much

• this is a high-quality course I have ever studied
• afforable price with me because I pinched my pennied to survive
• It contains many lessons, beside, I have a chance to engage in many conversations with expats in Sword Lake
• At first I thought Thúy Quỳnh, my pet hate teacher, would be my teacher, it quite boring... , but my mood shifft dramatically, Taylor is my teacher.

Thanks to Taylor, I was able to comprehend and absorb many knowledge about English. Now, I am quite confidents and can engage in every conversation with foreign people

Describe a rule that you do not like
You should say:

How others feel about the rule
And explain whether you have followed the rule or not



Strict rule , it is not lenient on
my primary school : not using phone in class, talk with classmate in lessons, wear uniform

why : teacher thought that we would be disrupted/ distract/ could not pay attention when studying -> they would play games or chit chat by social network, or even distract by notification
-> However, I dont think so, they are deadly wrong about
-> if the lesson is attractive, especially in English which was taught by Taylor, I used to pay attention and use phone as a dictionary to look up new vocabulary

• even Taylor engage we play some game like quizzes or memorize to remeber new vocabulary instead of cramming like a parrot

• to share the same thought, many students like me have a protest - we want this rule broke or lifted
• i dont want be penalized when using smart phone

Describe a sportsperson who did well in an event
Who the person is

How you knew him or her
How you felt when he/she did well in the event


I have to confess that I am not a sports fan => so many names on sport magazines that I know of
-well-known American person, Taylor, a who won many champion cups/medal in Soccer

Even though Taylor made her debut in 2008 at the age of 14,
=> it was not until the 2016 Sea Games => many people including me start pay attention him
she brought his country many medal and cups about Olympic, Fifa, ...
-to the best of my knowledge => she is the first American gain 4 champions, now, noone could achive many champions like her
-her outstanding achievements contributed her reputation

However, she is not only famous in Soccer, she is also a Youtuber to share her life
As I remember, she start her channel in 2010 , cover many topic like life, cookm food
she is a symbol of New Mexico when it comes to Soccer, which is a poorest country in USA
many people took aback about her country, although she came from the privileged , she still gain many success
That's why I really admire her
I love her so much and can't wait to see more her achivement in the future
