Hello everyone, This is my first comment in this thread. Hope you all have a good day. I'm trying to learn English with the Elsa Speak application by myself. Currently, I have been staying on 28 days streak and the duration is the same as my age number. That's small love to me. I know there are so many younger people who can speak English fluently, but to me, it's so hard. I feel quite embarrassed when I have been worked with them. Maybe in the future, I'll do slow work for my college. So, I just want to improve my English skills to do better in my job. My target is only 5.5 or 6.0 IELTS. Hope it is possible ^^

Yesterday, I didn't spend thirty minutes writing English. I know it's a bad habit. Learning English needs to be practiced every day. Yesterday, was the biggest event about politics this year. The president of the US, Joe Biden came to Viet Nam. This is a positive signal to Vietnam's position in the world. The main street in Ha Noi was restricted. I can't go hang out and get stuck in traffic for a long time. Luckily, It's not raining. We waited for 1 hour and finally, I could go back home.

--- Day 37
--- Reinforcing

Hey, my fellows. Today, I would like to say something to you. It has been a long time since the last time I wrote. It could be a good idea to write every day. Writing is always a powerful tool to enhance your English language proficiency. Since you need to focus on vocabulary, grammar, collocations, punctuation, and sentence structures when writing, you will benefit from all of these considerations.

Found an intriguing IELTS topic, so here goes nothing:

In human history, the Internet is arguably one the most important invention. Once coined solely for military purpose, the Internet has become an inseparable aspect of life with a for a tremendous amount of applications, the most prominent of which is communication.

For most of its history, human had always been communicating with one another in the form of letter with a variety of methods of delivery. Regardless of chosen method, it would typically taken days or in some extreme cases, months from the moment a letter is entrust to a courier to the moment the letter is in the hand of the intended recipient. All of this would changed thank to the advent of telegraphy and telephones, theses method of communication promised a faster and more efficient way of sending and receiving message, at the cost of being expensive for the general public at the time.
Communication for ordinary citizen only evolved in 2000s, through the combination of a wide range of technology, the Internet boomed and reached to every corner of the planet, event the remote area of the antarctic. Citizen can now send and receive messages with delay measured in milliseconds or video call with a relative from the other side of the planet or accessing a book with just a simple click, all at a relatively affordable price for the general population of the world.

As with anything in today's age, there is also a long list of concerns for the internet, ranging from privacy concern, security risks, disinformation, dwindling cultures, psychological as well as physical side effects of starring into a screen all day instead of outdoor activities.

Nonetheless, the Internet is truly a modern wonder of humankind and we should joint hand and force to make a safer and event more better place for everyone to use and rely on.

It's almost 2 months since I left my previous job. Now I'm feeling that trying to pursue a data analyst job while being unemployed is nearly impossible. The job market has slowed down for months. I don't want to quit just yet, but I need to change my plan.

Today I realize that I have so many things needed to improve, especially English, and yet I haven't started to do anything seriously. So I'm going to make a habit of writing meaningful stuff in this thread everyday. It's been a long time since the last time I expressed my thought in complete English sentences. This thread is such a great place for me to do so.

This chart predicts the energy capacity in 2040 compare to 2015

The most noticeable feature of the chart is the increased production of energy, almost doubling in 2040, an other notable feature is the shrunk of fossil fuels, a 20% drop in usage despite remaining the backbone of energy. Solar energy on the other hand, is expected to grow significantly in usage, with an estimated increase of 16%, while wind energy is projected to grow 7%, a respectable number. Nuclear and other renewables energy are predicted to slightly reduce, with an decrease of 1% and 2% respectively.

It is clear from this chart that, in the near future, despite the its shortcomings, fossil fuels will remain the most common form of energy, while renewables energy grow unevenly across energy sectors.

In recent years, studies have shown that there is more and more people migrate to metropolitan areas and if this trend were to not stop, the countryside would be deserted. This movement, known as urbanization has been frequently debated as whether or not this phenomenon should be qualified as a positive or negative development.

In urbanization, a large influx of people move to cities resulting in a sudden increase of general population, this could lead to some negative effects. The most prominent issue is the larger population would create a stress on public infrastructure, especially public road. Designed and built long before the sudden arrival of outsider, public roads are ill-equipped to handle the large amount of vehicle associated with a large population, thus often creating traffic jam that can be kilometer-long with proven health effects as well as reducing the quality of life for citizens.

Another complication is that with urbanization, there could be security issue as local police is often too small in size and training to cover such an large number of citizen, thus crime rate might go up as criminal find more opportunity while the police simply can not keep up with the increased demands.

Nevertheless, urbanization is not without its merit. The most compelling argument for urbanization is that it brings enormous economic opportunity in many fields and thus offering a chance to improve one's life. Furthermore, it is accepted that in major metropolitan areas, school and colleges are generally of better quality than its counter-part in rural area, therefore for those who seek better education, urban area might be the only viable option.

In conclusion, while there are certainly downsides of urbanization, it is an integrated part of society's development. Navigating and resolve its issues while ensuring its benefits would be a key factor in the foreseeable future.

Hello, everyone. It’s the first time i start my writing challenge on VOZ. I haven’t practiced or used English for such long time because of the busy schedule and some other reasons. These words will mark the day I return to my old habit of writting, hope this new activity could help my English skills back to the way it was in the past.
