drinking beer alone is often bitter, beer helps people open their hearts more. It's been a long time since I wanted to share anything with my parents, dreams, difficulties, work. I just shared a little bit with my friends. most of them can't help me handle them but when some people are willing to hear my story it can help me feel more comfortable
For me, i usually drink beer alone. My friends ( in highschool, university) are stay in HCMC, not me. Of couse, when i work, i have party with staff, but it just drink and drink, i fell nothing in its. Quite to me to find a new friend

Have a good day everyone. I hope that VIetnam will overcome the pandemic asap so I can comback to school =))

One of my professor once told me "you cannot find a true friend after college, because then nobody see you as a friend. All they see is how they can take advantage of you and how you can take advantage of them". I didn't believe him then, now I'm starting doubt myself, still I refuse to see the world so pessimistic, but I'm not sure how long can I stand against that thought.

I agree with your professor, at least up to now

Hi guys. This is my first comment by English. Honestly, I need 5 minutes just for writing these basic words .... Haizz..

hi there, i've been learning English by myself for 4 months. everyday, i wake up in 6am and learn E about 1 hour, after that i go to work. i try to imrpove my E skill by listen E video on Youtube and learn vocabulary. i hope that later of the year, i can speak E fluently. i will have more opportunities in my work with a higher salary and much time for myself. let's make it happen
p.s im not sure about the grammar above. next time, i'll do better :byebye:

Honestly I'm totally blown away. They speak almost perfect English, and it's literally better than they thought. I should know how young people, young students nowadays could be that good. And if 50% of middle and high school students can speak that well (It's really impossible), Vietnam could be somewhere between middle and great power country.
I'm kinda guy that can listen and understand what they are talking about, but I can't even speak 4 sentences continuously. I really want to express my thoughts, my ideals in that fluency.
This interview inspired me a lot seriously.
By the end of this pandemic year, if nothing is going wrong, I'll lost 20kgs. It's a really tough and I'm happy looking back this progression. I think if I can set a goal, I can do it, and do it well.
I gotta set my goals in English :( Hope everything going well..

Yeah the Chinese are kinda like us in some respects, they too value learning foreign languages. Although I really wonder if this is representative of the entire education system because the guy in the video chose to visit a top Shanghai school, and that the interviewed kids either wanted to be diplomats, translators or teachers, so they might be a step above their peers already.

Nonetheless, I am impressed with their abilities. And I believe that you will be able to achieve your goals. I am also trying to reduce my weight, currently it's a bit too much, probably because of all of the instant noodles I eat every morning

after watching the video you shown here, I really really impress with english skills of young chinese people. I see that they are very confident, how the way they express their idea, dreams work. They too show the friendly, the mood is countryowner. It is a big difference when seeing the VN people when communicating with the west people, they usually get shy or evasive. Finally, I wish you complete your goal, keep the health in covid pandemic.

Actually, if you do an interview like this in a top school in Hanoi or Saigon and choose your target well (like only interview English specialized students), you would probably get the same results. This video doesn't prove anything you mentioned.

Agree. Personally, It depends on which interviewees the channel would like to show. I guess he has to choose some good students on the video in order not to cause unnecessary conflict and make a positive vibe as the channel owner is a foreigner after all.

Yeah, and considering how good his Chinese is I assume he is one of those “White Monkey” making videos to please the chinks
