Hi guys, I want to find some serious partners (or only 1 person is absolutely okay) to speak English with me. My target for speaking skill is to communicate clearly which means the ability to use appropriate vocabulary or express meaning idea in working environment. Hence, it's not necessary to emphasize on accent or complicated grammar.
Let me tell a bit about myself to see whether we have something in common. First off, I am girl who currently working in IT project. So, it would be great if we could help each other enhance not only English skills but also IT knowledge

There is a common knowledge on the Internet: "There are 2 most common mythical creatures in the world: Unicorn and Girl on the Internet. And we think the first one is real."That's not my purpose. I am just afraid that someone maybe feel uncomfortable to talk with a girl. To be honest, I really dont want to reveal my gender in VOZSo should I delete that part? Can you edit your comment btw?

After some basic looking around I can say with 70% certainty this vozer is honest, at least the IT part
tho whether it's a "spikey owl" or not it's doubtful

Oh well, we have to work in English environment quite a lot, from communicating to solving every single Aircraft defect. About me, I am a IT man in the first year at college and I want get a job aboard in the future, so English is very important. if u don't mind, i can be your partner.That's not my purpose. OMG, working with Japanese is such a pain in the ass. I have to work with 2 Japanese companies for my new project, and I have to revised a file 5 times, 5 god damn times in a single day. And their latest comments on my previous revision are: I don't like this font, I don't like this font size, why the material size is not round (because the vendor's original specification is not round too),... This is truly a horror, I don't mind doing heavy/hard task, but wasting a whole day to revise small and insignificant detail really annoy me.

Actually I work for a contruction/material supply company, which happen to be working with 2 Japanese companies for this current project. So I think I only have to endure this for 2 or 3 months at maximum since I've already told my boss to only supply material and refuse to do the construction work. I mean with all their requirements, I doubt any company can make profit from the construction job with the current Vietnamese manpower price.

I don't think speaking with another, who want to improve their speaking, will help you. I agree with you. It doesn't work if both are speak wrong, unless one is good enough to correct the other.

I think the important part of speaking with another is to encourage the usage of English. Many problem with speaking come from the lack of practice and bad speaking skill make people shy away from using it in real life, then it become an unending loop. Having someone to talk with may help one get over the fear of speaking in English.I agree with you. It doesn't work if both are speak wrong, unless one is good enough to correct the other.
If you want to try to practice online, i suggest free4talk
Beside English speaking/communication skill is not all about pronunciation alone. I can read and write English quite decently, but when it come to speaking sometime my brain just freeze and I will have to warm up for a few minutes before I can speak normally. Even then, I still can't come up to all the word I know (although my vocabulary not half bad thanks to my love for novel reading). Having someone so speak with regularly perhaps can help with this as it make our brain learning to speaking using English instead of Vietnamese.
Sorry for the long comment, but this just my opinion and I'm by no mean good at English so please don't take this too seriously because I can be severely wrong.

It's part of their work etiquette I guess, focusing on the tiniest and insignificant parts or issues. That's how they earned their reputation of being overly meticulous. I sometimes wonder if it's actually the secret sauce for their success and a lot of other things.
I mean, the smallest things can have a huge impact, like a small bolt on a construction machine for example. If someone just think "Meh, it's only bolts, use the cheapest you can grab from Aliexpress or whatever. Also bolt them in by hand, no need for expensive machinery and manpower.", it could end up backfiring when they can't handle the stress and give up, breaking down the machine, which takes time and money to repair and delays crucial work. You'd rather get the best bolts and install them properly, saving some possible pain in the long run.
I'm heading straight for a wall of text at this point, and to be frank, I'd annoyed too if someone makes me do something over and over again just for the sake of perfection.
