I would say the second phrase sounds like it's missing something, like it'd be more natural to say "I quickly run away from the man-eating, tree-humping, sun-praising mermaid!" than to just say "I quickly run..." when it comes to listening, start with the topic you like first. Never try to "learn" from these videos as they are mostly useless unless you're doing it as a homework, which I'm assuming you're not.
