--- Day 21
--- Responsible

We are all born from our parents. We have lived happy, exciting, and memorable days with our families. Our fathers and mothers are with us as we grow up. We appreciate and acknowledge how our parents care for and educate us all. I have read an article on nbcnews.com. It is all about the aging situation in Puerto Rico, for those who don't know that Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States. That means you are a U.S. citizen if you were born on this island. You don't need to get a visa approval to get to America. The reasons will be revealed in the following paragraphs.

As a matter of fact, the percentage of old people who are 65 years old or older is roughly 25%, a quarter in Puerto Rico. This figure makes Puerto Island one of the highest territories' elderly share. The first reason for this phenomenon is the low birth rate. The second reason is the migrations of adult people who are in their 20s - 50s. A competitive labor market with high minimum wages in the mainland U.S. attracts the workforce from Puerto Rico. There are many population surveys by the U.S. Department of Census Bureau that say that approximately 50% of families on Puerto Island have an adult child on the mainland. So adult children leave their parents on the island and travel to San Diego, New York, and Florida to work for a living. The third reason is that Puerto Rico is a remote island on the Atlantic Ocean which are suffering from a number of natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, and storms. It makes the living conditions not good enough compared to the U.S. mainland.

As time progress, there are some problems that young people have to deal with to take care of their parents remotely. In that article, it is not enough caregivers to look after all of the elders on the island. There are many licensed nursing care centers where elders could have fun together. There are many facilities, activities, and support in these centers for older adults. But the shortage of numbers is increasing. Checking-ups, health treatments, at-home care, and emergency services are typical works when it comes to elderly services.

To better serve the increased needs of older adults, there are many programs, funds, and collaborations emerging to tackle these problems. Marya, a director of a municipal senior center, has launched a campaign for seniors who are 60 years old or above. They provide free meals, educational courses, recreation, and spiritual activities.

Day5
A new week has come, and this week will have many things too. I'm studying a few applications to support myself, such as power query, design slide by power point more profession, and advanced excel. Although I have nearly 3 years of experience, I do not have much knowledge that relates to automatic application. After 1 year of work as a technician, I've definitely learned that I can't study new things because they only need me to operate the machine. And after realizing that I was retiring, I moved into new roles as a Process Engineer. To be honest, in this role, I know many new things, and I also determine how my career path shapes. But it's so unlucky; I can't dedicate to the company for a long time, and I have a supervisor who is really bad. He always yells at anyone he doesn't like and tries to make negative things to force them to quit the team. I think that my manager perhaps know about this situation. But he chooses to keep silent, and he usually tells us that we are able to go out of the factory at any time; we just need to let him know because only he and the supervisor are enough to manage all processes. How can he say that until he is the manager?
Finally, I'm quitting this job because I know that it's very difficult to grow my career here when I have a manager and sup like that.

Day 6:
What is the "Tatk time" in Lean Sixsigma?

=> "Takt time" is the rate at which you need to complete product or service to satisfy customer demand. By aligning production rate to customer demand, organization can avoid overproduction, reduce inventory costs and improve overall efficiency.
In other words, takt time is your production rate and can easily categorized as the heartbeats of your work process.

How to calculate "Takt time"?
=> Takt time = Total production time/Total customer demand

Why is "Takt time" important?
=> Defining "Takt time" is crucial for optimizing team's capacity. It's important to reduce waste in process, especially "Mura(Uneveness)" in your work flow. Nonetheless, "takt time" is valuable for optimizing storage costs as it help you avoid overproduction.

What is "Cycle time"?
=> "Cycle time" is the time you need to complete the production of one unit from start to finish.
Cycle time = Net production time/No. units produced

Conclusion:
We can simply understand that "Takt time" is the time you need to complete 1 unit in theory, and "Cycle time" is the factual time to complete 1 unit in production.

Hello. What's up, guys?
I have done a project called "5 Steps to Learn a Language". Its author is Pham Quang Hung. He is a linguist who was born in Hanoi and learned in the U.S. for a while. He has introduced a complete way to learn all four skills in a certain language, those are reading & writing and listening & speaking. I have translated it into Vietnamese and posted it on my youtube channel. Please check it out. It is worth trying it for some time. If you need some listening materials, do not hesitate to contact me.

Learning a language is a journey of collecting vocabulary, grammar rules and putting all of it into a logical way. If you want to figure out which English level you are in, you can refer to the CEFR system, which stands for the Common European Framework of Reference. It is divided into three categories of proficiency. These are the basic user (A1 - A2), the independent user (B1- B2), and the proficient user (C1 - C2). For those who want to take the IELTS test, it is helpful to know that the examiners will accept all derivative English, including British English, American English, Canadian English, and Australian English. For example, colour and color spellings are all accepted and will be marked at the same point.

There is a standardized source you could refer to. That is https://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/. All the lessons, important grammar points, and skills will be designed exclusively for English learners by the British Council. There is another source that is much more practical and hands-on I would like to share with you. You can try Effortless English by a famous linguist AJ. Strongly recommend it for those who want to enhance their conversational English to a new high.

I have just learned about a 22-page flight material provided by Heathrow Airport in England. It is designed for anxious travelers who are not sure about what to expect at the airports. Here are some brief pieces of information you should know when you are at an airport. The departure process could be summarised into five stages. The first one is the parking stage. You will travel from your house to the airport. If you are in a commercial taxi, then the driver will drop you off at the entrance of a terminal. You will drive a car yourself, you will need to figure out where to park your car. The second stage is the check-in & bag drop. If you have your online boarding pass available and no need to drop your baggage, please skip this stage. For those who want to check-in in person, please come to your airline representative's desk, wait to ask them to issue your boarding pass, weigh the luggage, and send it to the aircraft via the conveyor system. Remember to get the receipt as you will need this paper to get your luggage back at the destination airport. The third stage is to present your valid boarding pass at the ticket check. It can be an automatic gate or a desk operated in person. The fourth stage is a security check. You should leave all of your possessions on a tray scanned by an X-ray machine, dispose of all dangerous and sharp objects into a bin provided, and go through a metal detector in person. Then you are eligible to be on the departure lounge and be ready for the final stage - boarding.

During the time-consuming and quite complicated stages, always notice the information screens. It will provide helpful information about your flight number, destination, and departure time. If you have any concerns, please see the airport workers wearing an ID badge to be directed to the right place.

Hope you find this writing informative. Stay safe and onboard successfully.

Thank you for your sharing. May i ask your youtube chanel? I also want to know this study method. Thank you inadvance.

Day 7
There are several techniques of Lean system, example 5S, Kanba, Poka-Yoke, ect, but 5S is the most crucial. Every step of Lean house still has 5S, therefore now I'll explain what it is and how we use it in production to you all.

Generally speaking, the 5S is the system for organizing space so work can be performed efectively, efficiently and safety. It's typically the first lean method which organization impletement. Using 5S, organizations may easily save costs while increasing productivity.

The 5S stands for Sort, Set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, and each "S" repersent one part of a five-step process. In the daily work of a company, routines that maintain organization and orderliness are essential to a smooth and efficient flows and activities. By organizing everythings, this method encourages workers enhance their working condition and help them to lean to detech and reduce waste throughout the cleaning process by categorizing everything.

To apply in company, the first thing you have to do is to establish a "5S culture" for among all corperate employees of company. If no one has this mindset and wants to change their attitude, there will only be a drop in the ocean. Once this phase has been finished, let's move to next step, which entails appling each of "s" in order, "sort", "Set in order", "Shine", "Standardize" and "Sustain".

One thing to keep in mind is that you don't have to try to apply 5S consecutively; instead, make a "stop period" after finishing each "s". By doing so, you can not only review and gain more experiences to apply 5S but also control and maintain current step because the most important is that we can maintain to implement this method everyday.

Day 4
Actually, I'm very lazy to write something. The reason is not writing by English, due to I don't have any ideas. But I want to practice writing, I have to write. So I asked to chat GPT again, and I received some topics but I'm not excited with them. Maybe, I'm too lazy to think about definite topics and my vocabulary is limited to present all my thinking.
The writing times before, I didn't have an outline. So I took a lot of time to think in my mother language and after that converting it into English. This makes me feel exhausted. And while I write, I always use a grammar checker tool that is an extension of Chrome. Because I scare wrong about structure, word form, and tenses. But in this time, I decide to don't use it. When I finish the writing, I will submit my essay to chat GPT for indicating my errors. And next time, I will write some things about my major.

Day 8
I am going to interview for the role "Industrial Engineer" on next week. So, today, let me introduce to you a little bit about this role and a crucial knowledge of this position is that "Line balancing".

Industrial Engineer is a field of engineering that focuses on improvement and optimization of complex systems and processes.
There are many requirements of IE, but the most important you need to know is "Line balancing".

Line balancing is a technique used in manufacturing production environment to optimize the flow of work through production line. The goal of line balancing is to minimize idle time and maximize productivity by ensuring that each work station along the production line has an equal amount of work to do, and that work is completed within alotted time.

Line balancing involves analyzing the production process to identify bottlenecks or areas where work is being performed at a slower pace than the rest of production line. To achieve Line balancing, engineers may use variety of techniques, such as time and motion study, work sampling. They may also adjust the layout of the production line or change the sequence of production to optimize work flow and minimize downime.

Day 9
What qualification is most essential for an Industrial Engineer(IE)?

To become an IE, you need to have serveral qualification such as: analytical skills, problem solving, communication skill, ect. It's difficult to say which skills is the "best" as each skills is important in its own way and contribute to overall sucess in the field. However, Analytical skills is more important than others one a little bit, especially strong analytical skills.

Working as an IE role, you need to be able to analyze complex data and use statistical tools to identify pattern and trends in a large data set. This analysis is used to identify inefficiencies in production process or machine performance. Without strong analytical skills, you may struggle to detect the rootcause of problems and then take corrective action or optimize process.

Furthermore, during the analysis of data, you not only gain experience about statictis, but also practice many skills like logical thinking and being sensitive with problems. As a result, other skills are also grow up along with analytical skills, so your work will be more effective.

Finally, whether you are an IE or not, analytical skills is still deserve your study. It is not only used in technical field but is also significant in business or other fields. So, let's study if you have not analytical knowledge.

Welcome back! Thanks for reading my posts. Below are three imaginary stories I have written on a platform of Cambridge University. Check it out, please.

A story about clothes
I am going to participate in a reunion party this weekend. So I am thinking about which dresses I would choose for that day. I have tried a lot of clothes to figure out the well-suited clothes. It seems to be hard for me. Finally, I got one that I like the most. I put these on and head to the party. Surprisingly, a friend of mine dressed in an outfit completely the same as me. We had fun with it and talked more with each other.

An email about a wedding
Hi Sasha, I am glad that you asked. As you know, I went to a wedding event over the weekend. It is Nick's wedding. It lasted 2 days on an island near Hawaii. I stayed there for 3 days. I wore a formal suit with a white T-shirt inside. I also chose brown pants. My tie was orange. I really loved that wedding ceremony. There were many flowers and tasty Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere was romantic.

A story about a party
I have a son and a daughter. We are going to have a birthday party tonight. So I decorated and hung some balloons on the party lines. My children like birthday cake so much. Ann, my daughter is eating pieces of cake on the table. Tom, my son wants to eat, too. But Ann refuses to share. So I come up with an idea and go to a cake shop. I buy another cake and go home. So we have enough cake for everyone. We eat and have fun together.

Today, we will be continuing with my writings on the online writing platform of Cambridge University. You can practice and improve your own writing skills at https://writeandimprove.com/. It is helpful for those who want to enhance their grammar, cohesion, organization, vocabulary use, and more. You will be given feedback so that your essays would be more professional significantly.

An imaginary story about Sam.
Sam read the announcement on the school website and smiled. She had been chosen for the honor Chemistry class. Three years ago, she was bad at Chemistry. She couldn't understand even the simplest concept of Chemistry. Our Chemistry teacher, Mrs. Nancy was a good teacher, but she wasn't able to make Sam better. As time progressed, Sam knew that she couldn't be bad anymore. So she studied harder, read many textbooks, and came up with new ways to understand a variety of complex concepts. She made significant progress. She got many A grades. Everyone in my class appreciated her effort. Now, she had been admitted to the honor Chemistry class.

An imaginary email about a new college
Hi Billie. As you know, I got a new college when we moved to a new place. The distance between the college and my house is 25 miles, so I decide to travel to the college by car. There are lots of subjects, but I do like Maths and Science. I also have a new friend, Sam. She is nice and friendly. We discuss many topics in the school. Regards. Henry.

A report for an international media magazine

I am a big fan of New Stars magazine. In the last few years, I have read and enjoyed every monthly edition of articles, stories, and programs around the globe. I find these writings so helpful, interesting, and relaxing after long-working days. I heard that you guys are going to publish a family-based reality show which is considered a way to help family members have quality time together. Today, I am sending this report about shows in my country. I hope it will contribute some insightful ideas for your upcoming show.

First, we have a variety of television shows in my country. It is also true about shows which are intended to target all members of families. The quantity and the quality of shows don't necessarily come together. But I'd like to name some of my favorite TV shows for a family as your references. The first one is a program for wildlife animals in our national parks. This show is informative, descriptive, and wild. It is full of colorful, scenic, and engaging images and footage. Families all across our country are into it. They say that this program is one of the most meaningful shows they have seen. The second program I want to mention is a humorous show. It has a collection of all funny, silly, and unexpected things that happen all around the world. This program entertains many people, especially those who are in their teenagers. This program also alarms children not to take action if they want to be safe.

Besides all of that, there are some downsides you should take into account. Obviously, the shows for whole family members could be challenging because you have to target many groups of age. Next, there are many aspects that should take into account to attract different kinds of audiences, such as content, marketing, and age restriction.

My comment for an author on the Reddit platform
Your story is so fantastic. AI is one of the hottest topics in the technology world. Your product is going to be a big hit in the market. Keep working and moving forward. Internet is free. Everyone has their own space on that. Not like in real estate. You have to have a ground, rent a place, decorate a store, and reach out to the local residents to sell the products. But on the Internet, you just need to register a domain and buy a hosting service with little money, you can market your products all around the world.

What is this… urge?
The urge to write, to share, to scream out my thoughts.
The urge to express, to state, to shout out to the world my very inmost feeling.
The urge to be able to say to the world what Stoner said "Look! I am alive."

What am I looking for? What do I expect?
Do I hope for sympathy? Empathy? Compassion? Pity even?
Why then, do we human keep telling others about our feelings, our thoughts, our minds?
Perhaps, it is because we human are social animal, and thus we yearn for human connection, interaction.
Then, is the cause of this urge the yearning for human interaction? The need of connection? Loneliness?
I certainly not lack of human interaction. Then, is it loneliness? Then are all those talkative ones lonely, and all yearn for connection? But who am I to state those theories? Who am I to ask those questions, to judge them?

The urge grows bigger and bigger. It keeps me awake at night. My mind begs to be free, to be put into orders, to lay my thoughts out into words.
And thus here I am, stating my questions, ordering my minds, putting my thoughts to word, but still unable to share anything.

--- Day 26
--- Diversified

Good evening everyone. Welcome back to my series. I'm here to tell you interesting, awesome, and helpful things. I hope I can share and contribute to the individual advancement of all of you. I know the more knowledge and skills we have, the bigger impact we could create and change the world.

One of the most attractive things that make the U.S. the leading country in many industries is the non-discrimination policy. This policy is regulated both in written and verbal. Unlike many countries where discriminative actions are just not right ethically with no further punishments. In contrast, a discriminative action will be seen illegally and found guilty in the U.S. Depending on the extent of the crime, a person would be subject to criminal or civilian penalties.

The non-discrimination policy includes a variety of actions accepted in the U.S. You will not be perceived as a foreign citizen if you have any characteristics listed below such as ethnicity, race, color, national origin, age, physical and mental condition, genetic information, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, military and veteran status, and religion. You are so confident to show who you are, what you like, and where you belong to. In your professional life, you are treated fairly only on your work performance. If you suddenly realize you are a victim of a discriminative action, you are likely to be protected by the U.S. Constitution and have suitable compensation in cash and reputation. On the other hand, you are also beneficial in your personal life thanks to the non-discrimination policy. As I said before, you are encouraged to show the true "you" to your partner. It is going to have a good chance that you have a satisfied intimacy.

I always appreciate and acknowledge what people in the U.S. have done to protect their citizens. We have many case studies in America that we can apply to our lives and make them better day after day.
