--- 456 words counted
It was a long working day. I have read many topics in the English language. I would like to share this with you guys.
The first one is about the Education First organization. It is helpful for those who want to learn English and study abroad. They are a multinational company. They have many language courses as well as visa counseling services. I have read an annual report of EF.
This report is the so-called EF English Proficiency Index which indicates the ability of countries and regions around the world. An exam should be done by test takers for 50 minutes. This exam is EF SET which stands for Standard English Test. It includes a 25-minute reading test and a 25-minute listening test. There were about roughly 2.1 million test takers. The sampling size is big enough to make this index a valuable source for evaluating the English ability of a certain country or region.
As you can guess, the European region is far much better in terms of English proficiency level than any other region across the globe. The Netherlands, Sweden, and Poland are countries on top of the world with very high English proficiency bands. Vietnam is in the moderate band. A surprising fact is that Thailand is in a very low English proficiency band.
There are many conclusions and recommendations for readers who want to improve their English skills. Check it out at the website of Education First, or search on Google with the keywords of EF EPI or EF SET.
Another topic that may be helpful for you. It is all about the educational philosophy. As you may not know, the kindergarten term has just been coined recently. The kindergarten in which children will be taught did not appear until the 18th century. Before that time, children have to work in many places with unpleasant and unhealthy conditions. It was believed that children working will reduce the burden on families. People at that time had no idea about the stages of children's development. Lacking food and poverty are some of the most common reasons for this phenomenon.
Over time, along with a wide range of innovations during the Industrial Revolution in the U.S. and Europe, working performance has increased significantly. Food is produced and packaged in assembly lines in many factories. Cost is reduced. Living conditions have improved dramatically. Children's labor is less likely to be a major source of a number of factories.
There are many thinkers who claimed that children and teenagers should be educated in a more friendly environment. They should learn and play in school. Advocates agree that the educational period will play an important role in modern society.
Thanks for reading. Have a good night!

I cannot say for everyone.--- Day 28
--- Coherent
How would you deal with boredom in your work?
For example, repetition of some daily tasks could make you burn out easily.
In other words, how to keep ourselves interested and excited in professional life?
- The Wisdom of Crowds by Joe AbercrombieLife is naught but set of moments, you've got to live each one. All that time spent tending the garden. You forget to sit back in the garden and enjoy it.
- Augustus, John Edward WilliamsI write these words in the forty-third year of my life. I write them for a purpose of which my old tutor would never have approved; I write them for myself and my own perusal. Even if I wished otherwise, it is unlikely that any eyes save my own shall see them. But I do not wish otherwise. I would not explain myself to the world, and I would not have the world understand me; I have become indifferent to us both. For however long I may live in this body, which I have served with much care and art for so many years, that part of my life which matters is over; thus I may view it with detached interest of the scholar that my tutor once said I might have become.
Yet how strong is the force of old habit! For even now, as I write these first words in this journal, and as I know that they are written to be read only by that strangest of all readers, myself, I find myself pausing in deliberation as I seek the proper topic which to found my argument, the appropriate argument itself, the constitution of the argument, the effective arrangement of its parts, and even the style in which those parts are to be delivered. It is myself whom I would persuade to truth by the force of my discourse, and myself whom I would dissuade. It is a foolishness, yet I believe not a harmful one. It occupies my day at least as fully as does the counting of the waves that break over the sand upon the rocky coast of this island.
Yes, it is likely that my life is over. All has become the object of an indifferent curiosity, and nothing of consequence. Perhaps I write these words and employ the device that I have learned so that I may discover whether I may rouse myself from this great indifference into which I have descended. I doubt that I shall be able to do so, any more than I should be able to push these massive rocks down the slope of the dark concern of the sea. I am indifferent even to my doubt.
