But how do you know that successful person is not happy?

Happiness is subjective. Some enjoy an easy life, while others take joy in competitions. Who are we to decide for them what true happiness is?
That living in an endless competition with such fear, with everyone's being possible opponents. And yes, one can feel a surge of joy gaining "temporary" victory, but the positive feeling fades so fast that he soon has to worry about maintaining the ultimate position.
As worriness is not of happiness, it's clear that he mostly can't feel happy. If he doesn't worry then he won't involve in competition and may approach closer to a worth life.
Srr, think I was in absolutism in the last comment, gotta use "mostly"

Just fun: The pressure during school time is nothing if compare with the pressure when you read topic on voz where vozer show of salary or their income. So I am still a loser right now. I remember that when I was assigned a difficult math by my teacher and could complete it, I had a happy feeling
See? A competition, right? We see other's happiness and soon compare to ours. Like you, I'm depressed at other's success, even that of my friends, and of course I don't want to consider them as opponents in a race of life. Yet distress, inferiority or jelousy just stir inside me :(
I think your math example is a perfect one. Not only math, when we achieve something, especially on our own, I think in the time, we are seeing our value: independence, progression and so on. Like comparison, but with our former self - to see how far we've gone :)

Not really "fear'' though, or should I say, being surpassed by others is not what a true competitive person's afraid of. They work hard to become the best and might be disappointed or sad if they fall behind, but that disappointment will eventually become the energy to keep them going. Some might drop out of the game either because they've lost interest or just tired of competing. But hey, that's life, you know. We can't say we've lived our life to the fullest without experiencing all the ups and downs.

The only thing in my life make me afraid of is one day my parent get older and they have to go hospital because of an illness that I cant prepare for them a single room. So I cant give up any time, any case. It may not give me a happy life for myself but I accept, When my family cant live a happy life, my sadness even disappear

Yeah, what I'm trying to say is competing with yourself. Why doesn't one compete with himself to be better and better for each day passes? It sounds a lot better than looking at others' achievements and blaming himself for not being superior :D

Such firmly held idea :D. Congratz for finding a place to belong to, a place where you can find joy and peace, a path to true happiness.
Nowadays, people are always finding happiness in other places and forgetting about their family entirely :(

Lessons from the death of the bloody mouth dog
The man went out hunting, leaving the dog at home to watch the baby. When he returned, he saw blood on the floor, but he could not see the baby. The dog, while licking fresh blood from the corner of his mouth, waved his tail happily at him.
The man got angry, then pulled out a knife and stabbed the dog in the stomach. The dog lound out a sound of the carpet, making the child, sound asleep under the blood-stained rug, startled awake. At this time, the man discovered the corpse of a wolf lying beside the corner of the wall.
A lot of things that you see with your own eyes, hear with your own ears, but it is not necessarily what you think.
In human dealings, people should be given the opportunity to explain, and listen patiently to their explanations. With that, our life will avoid many things that we will regret later.
Not asking, not speaking, not explaining, this is not a show of strength, or personality, it is an injustice, no responsibility to oneself and to others.
I'm not asking + you're not talking = distance
I asked + you don't answer = leave;
I ask + you answer = respect
I want to ask + you want to say = understand each other
I haven't asked + you said = belive
The hearts are close together, the behavioral, words will be as natural as flowing water, when the heart is far away, words, act bleak like autumn foliage flowers.
Not afraid of being apart until the horizon, just afraid of not being together.
At any time, understanding each other is very important, especially for the people you love most, and the family members that speaking is even more important.

it's so nice to know some people in this life
And It’s even fucking better not to know them at all...

Your fear is same as mine. My parent are getting old. They work hard everyday but I can't help them :too_sad:.

Have you ever heard a song that reminds you of your homeland or your childhood? With me, when hearing the song" Mua Xuan Dau Tien" written by Van Cao artist I often get goosebumps. It makes me remember the time when I was a secondary student. Every day I went to school by bike. The road to school is a dike, winding beside a river and each image appears before my eye. The swallows fly above the sky, smoke radiates in the above river, the noon crowing cock in the opposite riverbank. Those images and the melody of song are deeply in my mind throughout my life. Sometimes I suddenly listen to the melody of song, I miss those days. I ready to give up all to go back my childhood once again.
