I know the song you mentioned. I am not into music nowadays, because they are shouting, roaring and full of depression. The Carpenters was a very well-known band in Western Countries a couple decades ago. I used to listen to "Yesterday Once More" so many times in my college years. Their songs are also very easy to listen, the pronounciation is clear and the accent is easy to mimic. Sometime, I play the music without any intention of listen to just to let my brain get use to with the language

last month I also had an interview to a internship position. All of that conversation was in english, although I ain't good at speaking at all. then i realized the interviewers were just like me, they didn't use any fancy or abnormal words, their accents weren't good as well. so just be brave, speak slowly, try to express all of your thought by any normal word you find it's suitable, they won't judge if you don't use any ielts words, they just wanna understand your abilities. finally, wish you all the best for your next interview, try to get an internship and you will have many chances to improve english skills in that company environment
