Not only do I read, but I also take on the responsibility of translating Umineko manga into Vietnamese.

Small question, do you translate it from Eng or Jap?

Once again, the moderator has "oops" the thread. Voz is no longer as free as it used to be, and any issue related to the government, no matter how small, is not permitted to appear on this forum. I reminisce about the old days when everyone could comfortably discuss any topic, which was truly enjoyable. People had the freedom to discuss and explore different perspectives on various issues. However, now that has become a luxury within this forum. The forum has undergone changes, becoming newer and more modern, but the essence of this forum has perished. It resembles a vase with beautiful patterns on the outside, yet it is completely empty and devoid of life within. This may very well be the last time I voice my concerns about the state of this forum, as I am simply too exhausted. Henceforth, engaging in conversations within this English thread and discussing football with fellow Liverpool fans will be my primary activities on this forum.

I also often translate manga from Japanese to English and upload it to Mangadex

Yesterday, I just finished translating a new manga and uploaded it. If you're interested, you can take a look.

You Have No Human Rights
Thanks but it's been a long while since I touched manga.
Due to all the disappointments I've had, now I only read finished series. :shame:
But we don't have many great finished manga series recently so...
But my man, after I've read a book about translation, my admiration and respect for what you guys have done is unmeasurable.
The poet runs untrammelled across the meadow. The translator dances in shackles.

I want to test getting banned on the Voz forum, so I am going to spread the news about Phuong Hang. I want to experience the feeling of being banned.

So the moderator has banned my account for over a year. I thought he would ban my account permanently. It turns out these moderators are quite lenient with members, aren't they?

It was not until the recent one and a half year did my life see any improvement: COVID-19 ceased and after 5 semesters of undeniably lacklustre performance yet no failed subjects, I resigned myself to fate and tried to study to the best of my ability. This was where my English skills came in handy: I missed a lot of basic knowledge due to negligence and depression but gradually came to recover them (though understandably not completely) by reading a lot of English reference books suggested by the teachers. Also my dad was elevated to a much higher and better position because the higher-ups acknowledged his contribution and competence and straight up appointed him the post (mind you, we didn't have to resort to bribery in stark contrast to the previous time when we actually spent a lot for a position he was rightfully ordered to take). Even better, my brother finally came to his senses and stopped worrying us with his reckless and defying acts.
So all's well that ends well, right ? My parents and I are slowly reaching a mutual understanding and we may have our disagreement from time to time, I no longer feel any resentment towards them and get to comprehend their struggles with supplying us with necessities and guidance while my parents have become considerably more lax and doting throughout the years. Then why am I still so anxious ? Is it because my inferiority complex acting up again now that everything's fine ? Maybe, but I've kept it in check for quite some time. The harsh period we endured together has left me pondering about my future prospect. My parents are not young anymore and there have been signs of their failing health whereas I will eventually be obliged to step up as the one to take care of my own family. Truth to be told, I'm scared because I have so many shortcomings and both of my career options (becoming either a pharmacist or an English teacher) are becoming more and more saturated. But you are right, it's better for things to happen at their natural paces. Castles aren't built in a day. Mastery can only come from efforts and practice when natural talent can only get you so far. I've been too preoccupied these days with work so I think I'd better get some rest the next few days to relieve my mind of all these worries and intrusive thoughts.
Apologies for my late reply. I'm glad that things are better now and you're back on track. Remember, learning's a lifelong journey. No rush! I understand taking care of your parents feels like a lot, but it's early to worry. Focus on graduating and landing a good job for now. The rest will come in time.

On this I totally agree. As a matter of fact, I'm currently self-studying grammar again, albeit in a more systematic way this time. The book I'm reading is CGEL by Quirk, which is fairly old but still quite well-written nonetheless. And it has a whopping length of 1778 pages, which is a tad too long. But because it's so detailed, I have nothing too complain about. Even though it's every bit as comprehensive as the title suggests, I still have to look up the Internet for more information from time to time, which speaks volumes about how rich and intricate the language can be.
That's a perfect approach. I couldn't agree more. Diving into an in-depth book is what I favor when it comes to getting a solid understanding of the field.

By the way, what's holding you up so late?
I'm currently glued to science and history videos, and right now, I'm totally captivated by a video on the Real Time History channel that delves into the intricate specifics and remarkable progressions of the Franco-Prussian War. I've stumbled upon a plethora of eye-opening details, and one that truly stands out is the revolutionary use of cameras to freeze-frame moments during the war, marking a groundbreaking milestone.

I don't have much to share recently, except a stupid order mistake that I made. Look at the photo and guess what happened.

This amount of energy drink is enough to cause you numerous cardiovascular and diabetes problems, lol.

Joking apart, you should exercise caution when making online purchases as not all stores will go the extra mile to resolve such matters. If you mishandle it, you may end up stirring unnecessary conflicts.

Returning orders here is generally hassle-free. Just follow the rules to have the process done. I just hate the part of taking them back. But yes, being cautious is always good advice. Thanks!
