Just a few days back, I came across an article about a high-ranking advisor from the Traffic Police Department in Vinh Phuc province, who held the rank of Lieutenant and was involved in the heinous act of kidnapping, demanding a staggering ransom of 15 billion VND. The Viet A case has shed light on a harsh reality: There are numerous corrupt officials like this out there, shamelessly profiting from ill-gotten gains, all at the expense of the blood, sweat, and tears of the people. It truly is a world filled with disillusionment, isn't it?

And what frustrates me the most is that now in the F33 section, we no longer have the freedom to discuss these matters openly as before due to strict regulations there. It appears that this is the sole haven where we can openly and freely exchange ideas on social matters, without the constant fear of some moderator pulling an "oops" on the thread.

I intend to work either as a pharmacist or a teacher so perhaps there's no need for me to particularly eloquent but hey, writing a well thought out piece of writing or gracefully getting your ideas across is quite a joy in itself. Do you often have to double-check when writing or speaking ? I often find myself making silly mistakes (mispelling 'whopping' as 'whooping', for instance) whenever I revise my prose which is owing to the fact that while I do read a lot so I can recognize a great deal of vocabulary when I encounter them, I has never been formally trained to express myself in the written or spoken medium and as a consequence, often struggle to recall the right words.

The new regulations are absolute buzzkills. I don't participate in the typical slugfests among Vozers but reading those can be an interesting experience because more often than not, Voz threads give me a great many reality checks about many 'sensitive issues' that are not discussed frequently in my daily life. Reality is sometimes so unrealistic that you just question your whole existence. Not long ago , there was this case in Ninh Thuan in which a military Major accidentally ran a student over. Apparently, the perpetrator somehow conspired with the entire hospital to fabricate the testing results in order to shift the blame onto the poor girl, who not only lost her life because of the bastard's irresponsible driving but would also have had her reputation ruined at the hands of the heartless governmental officials had it not been for the criminal's wife committing a stupid mistake on social media. This felt like something ripped straight out from the plot of Persona 5 because the corruption and lack of guilt is so painfully egregious.

Yeah, that's true, 'cause English is hella diverse and has a ton of words to choose from. Being able to express ourselves freely brings mad joy, and when you got a sick vocab, expressing your emotions in English is way better than in Vietnamese.

When it comes to double-checking, I used to do it every now and then, especially when I was typing too quickly and made a few errors. However, thanks to dedicating two hours a day to looking up words in the dictionary and practicing writing extensively, I have gotten the hang of it. So now, I don't go over my posts again before sharing them here.

As the saying goes, "People's lives are treated like trash, with no one batting an eye if they perish." This sentiment holds even truer in our present society. The bureaucrats wield an excessive amount of power over life and death, allowing them to act with impunity, flipping right and wrong as they please. At this point, my only glimmer of hope lies in the younger generation taking the reins from this destructive older generation and steering the country towards a brighter future.

Your dedication is truly admirable. May I ask you for some advice on how to actually devise a training regimen ? I'm making an effort to actually be more active in my pursuit of knowledge but my method is still very much disorderly.

This thread'll be a safe haven for as long as someone doesn't know how to use Google Translate.

You should let your imagination run wild, as it will greatly enhance your English skills. I have a knack for perceiving any given phenomenon through an English lens, which aids me in grasping and retaining vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structures in a versatile and imaginative manner.

For example, if there is a bird perched on a branch, I would immediately think of the sentence: "On a branch, there is a bird," and then add more words to make it more descriptive, resulting in sentences like: "A bird is sitting on a tree branch" or "Resting on a branch is a bird."

The greatest strength of the human brain is imagination, so make the most effective use of it.

I truly miss the old Voz, back then, despite the heated arguments between the die-hard fans of Russia, the United States, and China, it was a vibrant and colorful community. The current Voz is more like a school, and we are playing the role of students who must obediently follow the teachers' instructions, which is quite boring.

Thanks. I would like to give you an 'Ưng' reaction but for some dumb reasons, that function isn't available in this section of the forum, which is a pity. How long have you been intergrating E into parts of your life ? I don't mean to sound too inquisitive but I'm graduating next year and I'm in need of some sound consultation to correctly evaluate how much time I have to keep progressing my E skills and how much effort should I exert. Working in a healthcare or scientific environment or teaching is different from translating or interpreting, afterall. I could have more opportunities to level up my locution had I applied for any schools other than Hanoi University of Pharmacy but such is life. I've decided to make the best use of my current assets.

Done and done. Though, I've already had second thoughts about remaining a senior member because the authentication process is laughably convoluted. It is essential to be under proper guidance too, I see. I was educated in E by two prestigious teachers back in secondary and high school but the teaching approach was much less proactive than those in the inner city (I live in a rural town) and mostly consisted of practising the exercises from an assorted collection of the various tests for gifted students throughout the years. While this helped me form a basic understanding of the language, I derived most of my vocabulary from the time I spent surfing web alone. I was the brightest bulb of the bunch back then but considering I've made little progress ever since I entered university (to be honest, HUP isn't the best place if you want to polish your language skills, a piece of wisdom I only recognized in hindsight), my teammates may have already far surpassed me now, hehe. If it's about more than 7 years since your first year, I take it that you and I are probably not too far apart in age as the average time for a student to graduate is 4 years and yet you're so advanced in your style of communication. Guess I'm really a normal fish in a tiny pond. But I think I'm just gonna take it easy for the time being because I'm still pretty youthful and in the process of figuring out what's right for me. Occupying different roles requires different sets of skills, afterall. Attempting to punch above my weight when not required might prove counterproductive and wasteful.

It's past 2 a.m. and I still can't sleep. Well, no surprise there. How am I supposed to doze off after watching such a crazy match? Maybe all those happy hormones are still buzzing around. When Gordon scored from Trent's blunder and right after that Van Dijk got a red card, I thought Liverpool was done for. But I stuck with it, and the game unfolded with me feeling uneasy as Newcastle dominated Liverpool's midfield. In the second half, Newcastle created loads of dangerous attacking situations, and if it wasn't for Alisson's brilliance, Liverpool would've let in more goals. As the match neared its end, Nunez came on, and bam, he completely turned the game around from start to finish. Two explosive moments in the final minutes of the second half, with two killer shots from tight angles that beat Nick Pope, helped Liverpool secure a 2-1 victory. This match deserves to go down in Premier League history. Liverpool was trailing, down to 10 men, and playing on the opponent's turf, yet they still came out on top. 10 Liverpool players triumphed over 11 Newcastle players. Can you believe it?

Man, in over 10 years of being a die-hard Liverpool fan, this match has gotta be the most emotional one I've ever seen.
