Haha
you should try to debate or argue as much as possible on Voz forum and learn all "lươn lẹo" skills of vozers. Then soon you'll be professional

Yesterday being a public holiday, I had a rollicking booze-up with my closest pals. Goodness gracious, I knocked back a whopping 20 cans! The salted fried pork with pickled mustard greens, the pork rinds with chili and lemongrass, and the beef hotpot were absolutely out of this world. It was truly an epic drinking spree.

For this holiday, I got 3 days off, I could get more but it would be bad for the workers since they make money day by day, so I fought and settled for 3 days only.
But 3 days was too short of a time to go back to my home town, and too long of a time to stay put near the construction site. So I borrowed a bike and went to the nearest tourism city.

Even though I had a bike with me, I still walked a lot. I strolled down the beach twice a day, I wandered three different mountains. I walked to any coffee shop near me instead of riding my bike. And it eased my mind.

My mind had been troubled for a while now, and somehow just by walking, my mind did not wander to uncertain places. Usually, when I let my mind go free, it will go to darkest corner. But this time, it just stayed still, it didn't go anywhere, and no thought came upon it.
Maybe the exhaustion of the body helped clearing the mind. But I knew this was untrue because the last time I worked myself to exhaustion, the effect upon my mind was tenfold.
Perhaps, it was the sound of the shoving waves, the innocence of the children running along the beach, the strange calmness of the mountains and forests.
Maybe that what they call living in the now, merely exist with no thought of the past or future, just simply exist in that moment itself.

The journey perhaps gifted me with no joy, for no joy can be found in that lonesome state. But it has granted me some peace of mind, maybe just for some little precious moments, and that was enough.

The shore gives way to the sea.
And the sea, my friends,
Does not dream of you.
- Steven Erikson, Reaper's Gale
This poem has been living in my head in the past few days. Maybe it's because I've just seen the beach recently. Or it's because I like the meaning of it, that sometime we are hopeless in what to come and can only accept/embrace it.

I don’t have much to say, I just want to confess that today when I was trying to find an example for 重组法 ( a translation technique), I realized that my Chinese is f*cking broken ( and maybe my English and Vietnamese too). But I think English is so much easier than Chinese Mandarin.
Tomorrow I have to present about some translation skills (more specific is using Chinese to present and it’s actually not a big problem to me). Hope I will not f*ck it up.
And btw, sorry for using so much F word.

Here's another piece of my writing for today:

It's nothing special, I guess, just some emotional reflections on my early driving lessons when I first moved to the US. Writing is a way to clear my mind.

Wish you all a day filled with smiles!☕

Happens to anyone. For now try to think gay.
If you truly meant what I think you did, then it was a great wordplay.
I know for sure you mean to play the word gay and the word straight, but I'm not sure you know the original meaning of the word gay.
old-fashioned - happy and full of fun.
outdated - lighthearted and carefree.
So if you actually did a double meaning wordplay then well played.
That dude just wanna be witty.
Anyway, you have such a lovely looking house. I'm trying to get a decent apartment, and looking at that Oct Rambling of yours somehow gives me some determination.

Your explanation is fantastic. Thank you! Appreciate your compliments on my house but I'm afraid it's "falling apart". Anyway, I'm happy that my post has encouraged you towards your goal to some point, and I genuinely hope you will accomplish it soon.

I knew the other mean of 'gay', but did not originally mean to use it here. Fit so well by accident huh.

God dammit, how the **** are people here so civil? This isn't the vOz I know
Perhaps people that can use 2 languages are more civilized?
Perhaps people that are trying to improve themselves are more civilized?
Perhaps people that are uncivilized fail to bait the civilized one?

This is my take:
To understand this, perhaps we should look at the reason why the Voz you and I know are so considered "uncivilized".
The root of this "behaviour" (from my POV) is from all the debates we usually have on F17, F33. It all started out as a joke, I think, debating and making fun of each other. But after a while, these things escalated and lost its original gayness (yes, I use this word because the comment earlier today :shame:) Debating turned into fighting, making fun of each other turned into insulting each other. Time went by and we have the Voz with its famous "uncivilized culture" of today.

Back to the main topic, here we are, where people are just trying to improve themselves, or just simply want a safe haven to share their random thoughts. Here there is no debate to be found, no fight to be won, no target for all the insults. What would a troll do if they have no one to bait? what would a "uncivilized" one fight for if there is no argument to debate on?

But seriously, if the uncivilized behaviour you are talking about is swearing, I perhaps am the most bloody uncivilized mofo of this thread. I keep my tongue in check around here. But people around me and Vozers on discord know how bloody foul my fcking god damn mouth is. I swear like a sailor both IRL and on the internet, both in Vietnamese and in English (which is nothing to be proud of). But truly I find no reason to throw it out here, no target for the anger, no source of raw emotion... So there is no point of being such a barbaric human.

I normally think of the problem as "people behave differently when using different languages". I get it now.
